Mundo to reopen at the Paper Factory Hotel in Long Island City

While I don’t normally post breaking food news, this was just too good not to share. Beloved Astoria restaurant, Mundo, will be reopening this summer on a date to be determined in Long Island City’s Paper Factory Hotel.

From their Facebook page:

Mundo is re-opening its doors in their new home – The Paper Factory Hotel. A previous Astoria veteran, Mundo will continue to entice patrons as the world-class establishment unveils its new look in the Long Island City chic, boutique hotel.

This new destination from Mundo’s diverse team aims to be one of the most exciting and influential eateries in the country. Mundo’s menu highlights the best of earthy Mediterranean and unique global flavors with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients from local vendors and farms, and homemade dishes. Complemented by the modern, rustic décor, Mundo is back and bringing its passion once again to old friends and new!

Known for a delicious, healthy, eclectic menu that was loved by vegetarians, vegans and carnivores alike, Mundo’s absence was deeply felt in the Astoria dining scene. I for one am so elated to welcome them back – and I suspect I’ll have a lot of company as I rejoice.

Check out their new website here.
