On Blogging Delinquency and Summer’s End

Despite being a non-presence on my blog since late May, it’s been a fun and collaborative writing summer. In June, one of my favorite food sites, City Spoonful allowed me to cover the annual Taste of LIC event that showcases many of Astoria and Long Island City’s restaurants all under one festive tent. You can read about it here.

In July, it seems, I did absolutely nothing.

August, however, was a bit more interesting. I was honored to be interviewed in the Village Voice’s Fork in the Road food blog and featured on QueensNYC about my love of food in Astoria. The great team over at We Heart Astoria also asked me to start submitting a monthly blog post about some of my favorite, lesser known places to eat in Astoria. My first post was about Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna and can be found here.

Here’s hoping everyone had a wonderful summer filled with drinking outside, relaxing in the sun, and trekking all over Astoria in search of great eats. Enjoy the summer’s end.
